    Robot equals Human

According to a report from UK, in the next 50 years; robot will be given the same right as human and even would be expected to vote and pay taxes.According to the report, there will be a time when robot can reproduce, improve themselves or gain artificial intelligence. Even the government hope to use robot as military force. This is a quote from the report "Humankind could engage in spirited debates as to how humans, animals and robots rank with respect to rights and responsibilities in our world," the report states. "Robots with advanced artificial intelligence could promote the development of schools of thought that see the human brain as nothing more than a special type of computer." This is so ridiculous, i mean how can they give the same human right to robot when we human are the one who created them. If this happen then there will be a time when robot take over human. Even robot can become a president? Robot conquer the world? Another World War? Or maybe the same situation as the IROBOT film? Give me your comments!!

    [Report:]
It really depends on how we design the robot.

Putting a paid invoice into the trash would not make you feel sad; tossing a computer that you used for five years might; seeing Asimo felt down would sadden certain amount of people; a real-life Chobits robot got stuck by a car would probably went on the news.

If robot mirrored human in every aspect, then we cannot distinguish them, so robot equals human. If robot's mental ability was the same as human's, then we can distinguish the phyiscal difference, but both the human/robot parties' natural would not agree on racism. If robot's mental ability was lower than the human's, it would then be determine by human's natural.

If the robot has higher performance than human that makes them completely different than human - then there should be no prediction - how the hell would we know what/how they think?!
    [End of report]

There are some part that i agree and not agree with you.

Like you said before that if robot mirrored human in every aspect, then we cannot distinguish them. I agree on that part. However, we human have feelings.According to the report "Robot can reproduce, improve themselves or gain artificial intelligence". I mean human have limit on how they perform, but robot don't. (And that's the question mark come)

By the way, nice comment penpen XD

AI relects collective consciousness. Let me explain what I mean. Computers are connected to the Web and the primary task of AI is to design a spider that can trawl the Web and build a database. I think it best if a reader takes a look at my own blogs

    http://ipai1.blogspot.com/ and
    http://ipai.blogspot.com/

The one on the "semantic Web" is the most important.

We must not think of consiousness in terms of isolated machines. AI will be a program running on a true Web 3.0 operating system. Computers therefore will either be stupid or very much more intelligent than us.

BTW - Greenery keeps telling us how much sea levels are going to rise in the period to 2050. Accoding to this computers will be self replicating. How come? Let us simply go the the Moon or an Asteroid, mine it and build a system of mirrors which will control the climate.

This report was commissioned by the British Government. Blair seems to show a complete lack of joined up thinking.
